Do you notice and\or don't you notice?
I am wondering maybe its just my laptop, but every time I open up someone's conversation dialog box. The footer box jumps to the top of the header and displays all those words in the grey matter? Why can't the dialog box just open without the bottom part appearing? This occurs in Windows Community only. This is too annoying all the time and it should remain fixed. 🤔

Limit the Jump List or Recent List
My recent' s list looks like my mothers monthly grocery shopping list in it's length. How can I limit this without hacking into the registry? I seem to remember a way to this in I.E/Windows 7 but I could be wrong. Thanks

Tips of the day: Exploring and maintaining your computer
To see how much disk space is free, hold down ALT and double-click the icon for the drive in the This PC window. You can solve disk space problems by accessing Storage in Settings or Disk Clean-up. To free disk space, try emptying the Recycle Bin. Deleted files and folders are saved in the Recycle Bin until you empty it. You can use File Explorer to see all the file son your computer. You can use Paint (normally launched by clicking Start, scrolling down to Windows Accessories, clicking Windows Accessories, and then clicking Paint) to draw pictures and view bitmap files. When a folder is open, you can press BACKSPACE to open a folder one level higher. Use Preview Pane in File Explorer to preview a document without opening it by clicking a document. When you display files in the Details view, you can sort them by clicking the column headings. To sort the files in reverse order, click the column heading once more. You can right-click anywhere to see a menu of available commands. You can try many useful programs by clicking Start, scrolling down to Windows Accessories, and then clicking Windows Accessories. In File Explorer, you can set options to show or hide three-letter filename extensions. If your computer's network is set to Private, you can access the Network folder in File Explorer to see computers in your workgroup. Use the error-checking tool periodically to check a volume for errors. In This PC, double-click a drive while holding down ALT, and then click Tools. If you have an external hard drive, you can use File History to make copies of important files. Press WINDOWS LOGO + I, click Update & Security, and then click Backup. For security, you can lock your computer whenever you walk away from it by pressing WINDOWS LOGO + L. You can also take your phone with you and allow your computer to lock automatically; this is called Dynamic Lock.

File Explorer very slow!!
When I open file explorer it scans the C: drive. When I single click a file, it scans the C: drive. If I open or modify a file (change the name) it scans the C: drive. These scans vary from 5 seconds to 20 seconds, EVERY TIME. I searched Windows defrag with the start menu search button, it brings me to optimize drives. When I run the optimizer, it completes the process in 5 seconds... but i see ZERO change in the performance of my laptop. Secondly, video media I have that used to play smoothly, suddenly plays very choppy. If it does or does not have any relation to the above problem. Thank you, Nick

Win. 10, Ver. 20H2 Install Fails, Disk 100%, Restore Fails
I tried to install the October 20, 2020 Windows 10 update, version 20H2. The installation failed. I believe it was due to the HDD being maxed out at 100%. Following the failed installation, the computer continued to run with HDD at 100%. Following virus scans, I attempted System Restore. Only 2 prior System Restore points were available. Multiple System Restore attempts were made. Anti-virus and firewall settings were turned off following failed System Restore attempts. Following the final, failed System Restore attempt using the oldest System Restore date, the HDD problem seems to have been resolved, even though the System Restore failed. Regarding the failed System Restore, I received the following message after each failed attempt: _______________________ "System Restore did not complete successfully. Your Computer's system files were not changed. Details: System Restore could not access a file. This is probably because an anti-virus program is running on the computer. Temporarily disable your antivirus program and retry System Restore An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0x80070005) You can try System Restore again and choose a different restore point. If you continue to see this error, you can try an advanced recovery method." ______________________ HISTORY: This i5, 8GB, HP computer was purchased in 12/2018. It encountered a problem following purchase that required a System Restore. At that time, System Restore crashed the operating system, which became unusable. This required returning the computer to HP for warranty repair. The repaired laptop computer that was returned to me had an updated BIOS and the HDD partition was removed. I am currently running Win-10, Version 1909. The current HDD problem seems to be resolved. However, System Restore is not working properly. 1) Does anyone have any thoughts as to how I can get System Restore to work? 2) HDD at 100% seems to be a problem with Windows 10, Version 20H2. Any thoughts?
