Sticky Notes Insights not working as web site shows
I love the new version of Sticky Notes and how it interfaces with all of my devices. I use it constantly! But I haven't been able to completely use Insights. Here's my notes from the FAQs for Sticky Notes. I am using a Surface Pro 4 (OS build 18363.1016) and Surface GO (OS build 19041.450) and Sticky Notes 3.7.142.0 Does anyone have a similar experience? Did you resolve it? https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/sticky-notes-faq/b9018fdd-41ba-41c2-ba0f-5d2a45ab5ceb?LastReply=true#LastReply What insights are currently supported and how do I enable them in Sticky notes? A: Here are some tips for creating insights: WORKS Type a phone number with dashes to make a call with Skype. DOESN'T WORK Flights are best recognized with both the airline code and the flight number, such as BR26 DOESN'T WORK Stocks are recognized only when the ticker symbol is preceded with a dollar sign, such as $MSFT. DOESN'T WORK Cortana reminders can be created when times are recognized, like 6pm, today, tomorrow, Saturday, next week, July, etc. Once a time is recognized, click Add Reminder. Start a list of items with bullets, dashes, or numbers to have it formatted as a list, which you can then modify, move around, and change the order of list items. WORKS Type an email address to see the option for sending email. WORKS Type a web address (URL) to see the option to open it in a browser. WORKS Type in a full (physical) address to see it on a map. Q: Why are insights not working? How do I turn on insights? A: Insights are only available in the English (United States) Windows keyboard display language at this time, with more languages coming soon. This is found in Settings > Time & Language > Region & language > Languages > English (United States) Windows display language. I HAVE MY LANGUAGE SET TO ENGLISH AS REQUIRED. SINCE SOME OF THE INSIGHTS WORK THIS DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE THE PROBLEM BUT WANTED TO DO ALL TROUBLESHOOTING BEFORE ASKING FOR INPUT FROM THE COMMUNITY.

Widows Update 2004 Problems 3 months OEM support+ no help
Problems with updating my Yoga C940-14IIL (Lenovo) from 1909 to 2004. Officially Lenovo premium support claims there should be no problems on there end for my device. Not driver related software etc. But i'm still stuck on the not device not ready screen. I Also tried to force the update like they instructed. Without being rude in my opinion there premium support is tier 1.5 at best. The conversation basically is them approving my suggestions or providing ridiculous extra information to them. Basically telling me which button i should click or explaining something in English i provided them by sending a screenshot etc. For example i ran the Intel driver support assistent and pointed out Intel has newer graphic wifi and Bluetooth drivers than the ones they provided. Asking if that might solve the issue but i pointed out Intel recommends OEM drivers not generic ones (It's in the screenshot). They replied its worth trying and that the lines i pointed out mean they are not officially tested. I'm thinking this is a bad joke or something i pointed it out and informed them and they reply with "might work and explain te words in a sentence i provided them" This is just one example out of dozens. Half of the suggestions or questions i made mentioned on the 2004 Official known issues/problems page (provided screenshots) they didn't understand i think. I attached the screenshot and even underlined the sentences i send them. Basically they told me to do the windows clean start or start over thing by holding a reset button (whatever it's called) . It's a brand new device with almost no software except for a single licensed office 2019 professional plus (not linked to a account) and mapped in my fairly complex new "secure"network and has things like SMB shares configured with my Linux and FreeBSD servers etc. It's also a wifi only device so it's on my IOT Vlan so it's a pain in the ... to setup again. Advice or answers would be appreciated before i do a clean install.

Cortana needs to grow up!!!
Now mind you this is my 2 cents, either Cortana needs to grow up and get with it into the 22nd Century or alas she needs to think about an early retirement. What I mean by this is that Cortana needs a few more skills. You know like a digital personal assistant. Just off the top of my head, able to take dictation, convert voice to text... blah blah blah... things of that nature. Solely with a new capability of voice to text and a merge metamorphosis with Voice Recognition and Narrator.. would exponentially increase my usage. Just saying... Anyway, you all have a marvelous day, night w/e or wherever you are and Keep Up the Good Work!!!

Fewer words, less typing (⋯) 😉
An FYI: Many Folks do not know the ⋯ has a name or a term for it. The word is ellipsis. It is the ellipsis or an ellipsis. Here's another... how many know what the tips of a shoelace are called? 😂 Cheers, Drew

Let's talk VPN's. Are they really necessary ?
Back when I was an active participant in the producing section of society, (I'm now retired). I used a VPN for connecting my laptop to many hotel/motel/restaurants' WIFI. This of course was in the days before tethering to my cell phone was allowed (cough, cough) and of course unlimited data plans. Today however there seems to be an abundance of free WIFI from stores, cable companies, and even some municipalities. What I've also noticed when I'm out and about is, that if there is a WIFI connection available, and I'm not connected to it, it will try and connect, there by almost stifling what I am trying to access. An example would be an Excel file. When that happens I simply shut the WIFI off, and go on about my business using my data plan. Given that tantalizing tidbit of information, and the fact that about the only place I consciously connect to WIFI is home, is a VPN in my case really necessary?

Computer Language . . .
I do not have any desire to speak Swahili or visit East Africa . . . Is there any way I can easily and permanently remove this and other foreign tongues from my fonts (and other areas) if I do not need them ? ! ?
