Cannot Recommend This Strongly Enough...
I have used this, given it to clients & highly recommended it to everyone since the early days of Windows 7. There are not words for the enthusiasm with which I recommend this... I suggest using it with either List or Medium Icons View. (TIP) Keep it minimised on the taskbar, don't close (X) it. How to: Win+X+R, type shell:AppsFolder, hit Enter or OK. Cheers, Drew

Curiosity Poll
Some know how enthusiastic I am about promoting the use of Applications windows... (I rarely > Start for anything) Ergo, asking: 1. Have you tried the Applications window? A = Yes B = No 2. Are you using it constantly? A = Yes B = No (Still messing with the silly Start menu ππ€£) 3. What View do you use? Win+X+R & shell:AppsFolder & Ok OR Enter If #1 was No, then, NOW is the time to try it πππ Cheers, Drew

Tips and tricks: Network drives and computers
Instead of mapping network drives, create desktop shortcuts to folders from another computers on the network. Then, double-click a shortcut to folder and you'll be able to access a folder from another computer on the network. To access another computer on the network, open the Network folder, and then drag a computer to the desktop. The shortcut is then created to the desktop. Double-clicking a shortcut to a network computer will open in a window. Sometimes, you'll be prompted for credentials from another user. You can send files or folders to a folder from your computer to another computer on the network. To do this: 1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + R. 2. Type "shell:sendto" (without the quotes) and press ENTER. 3. Access the folder from another computer on the network in the Network folder. 4. Hold down ALT and drag the folder to the SendTo window. A shortcut will be created. Now, whenever you right-click a file, point to Send to, and then click a folder that is from another computer on the network, another user will receive it.

Creating shortcuts to folders in the SendTo folder
To create shortcuts to a folder in the SendTo folder: 1. Open the SendTo folder. To do this, press WINDOWS LOGO + R, type "shell:sendto" (without the quotes), and then press ENTER. 2. In the navigation pane, which is in the left-side of FIle Explorer, look for the folder, and then drag it to the SendTo folder while holding down ALT. Tip: This also works for another computers on the network if they have folders for storing documents. For example, you could create a shortcut to a folder, \\server\share\docs, from another computer to your SendTo folder.

How to fix corrupted windows 7 professional x64 no DVD
I am aware it is out of support. But I can't even press control alt delete without an error message. I need help. My operating system on windows 7 laptop is so corrupted the security menu won't launch and the control panel won't work. I had to force shut down with the power button. Any fix? I don't have installation media for the 64-bit version only x32. Also my profile picture is not an Airbus A300-600R it is a McDonnell Douglas MD-11

ALL Applications Explorer Windowβππ
I have used this since the early days of 7. Needless to say, I didn't care about a Start menu in 8 or not. I have given this to all my clients and all like it AND use it. Being an explorer window it can just sit on the taskbar (always at the ready), the view & sort can be selected. But, everything can be seen at one glance and to find things just have to know the alphabeth. Here are pictures of it showing 2 different View options. Between this β¬οΈ, Jumplists, Win+X and Pinned to taskbar, I hardly ever > Start, very rarely. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupg7JkGNWMzKKXbZQ https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupfnIFcSsePkjoNkg https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupfnIFcSsePkjoNkg https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanu0K3ZyyoHuERuBBVg And, speaking of Start, it CAN be like this: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AsiolEsD5WSanupeQktP-BmedpCtWw

Opening another folder in Command Prompt
On Windows 10 Creators Update, when you hold SHIFT and right-click the desktop or inside a folder, you'll notice that "Open command window here" is missing, but you can use the Run command to open a folder in Command Prompt. Here's how: 1. Press WINDOWS LOGO + R. 2. Type "cmd /k pushd [drive:][path1][path2]" (without the quotation marks) and then press ENTER. For example, you could type "cmd /k pushd c:\windows\syswow64" (without the quotation marks) and press ENTER.
