Memory Use in low-memory devices
With each feature update (since 1607, at least), Windows 10 uses more memory (and disk space, but that's another day). It's getting to where 50-60% of RAM in a tablet/2-in-1 (2GB RAM, Win10 Home 32-bit) or older laptop (4GB RAM, Win10 Home 64-bit) is taken for a multitude of services and other tasks most of which just site there - seldom actually using CPU cycles after system startup. Yes, we should buy new computers with more RAM, on a never-ending cycle. Sorry, not going to happen in the real world where budgets are tight. What Windows needs is to be more cognizant of what the machine it's running on has available, and adjust its running footprint to match. A good rule of thumb might be: 50% of RAM when not running apps explicitly opened by the user is probably too much. If I don't have a lot of RAM, load those services only when they're needed and unload them afterward. Yes, that would slow down things when the services are needed and have to be reloaded, but the overuse of RAM is slowing things down anyway by pushing things into swap when any significant app is opened. Using swap is a real pain with spinning rust, but not great with eMMC or slower SSDs either. Look in Task Manager sometime and note how much is sitting there at the bottom of the process list nearly all the time, using no CPU once the system has stabilized following startup; those tasks and services should be candidates for killing during normal use. At minimum (assuming a reasonably-sized C: drive), those should be swapped out after a certain amount of "dead" time without waiting for something else to be loaded that forces the issue (and slows the load of a task that is actually needed). ??? Let me in
I can't figure out how to get into the Windows Community (this section here). I found it when I took a survey to get points and saved it to my favorites, so I could find out how to get back. Besides using favorites I can't get back in here.

April "C" Optional Update for 20H1 & 20H2: KB5001391
Have one reason/cause why you will DOWNLOAD & INSTALL this "C" Update.. ✔ News and interests on the Windows 10 taskbar (Features-natics, MS give you reason to install) ✔ Updates an issue to prevent blank tiles from appearing on the Start menu after updating to a newer version of Windows 10. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/april-28-2021-kb5001391-os-builds-19041-964-and-19042-964-preview-fc8959e2-f2a0-4223-b56b-0ad8d9b4f96c What is yours?

Older PC games
I haven't been able to play C & C Generals since I switched to Windows 10 about 3 years ago. It loads from the CD just fine but when I click on the .exe file to start a game nothing happens. From what I've read on the internet there is some type of compatibility issue with Windows 10. I have tried at least a half dozen workarounds but nothing ever works. Very frustrating. Probably an easy fix for the Windows 10 programmers.

What is Windows10X?
What exactly is Windows10X? Is it for PCs? Is it Windows 10's next update? I saw the leaked build video, and the animations and centred-task bar look so cool. If this isn't the next update of Windows 10, Then what is it? Is it a lighter version of Windows 10? If it is, hope y'all add the animations and quick access bar to the future updates of Windows. Thanks.
