Windows 10 disabled me.
Before the windows 10 update i was reasonably computer literate. I have a bachelors degree (soc) and have been a regular online user since 2000. I could handle most tech issues, hook up a printer etc., make AND RETRIEVE my documents, up/download things, play my games, watch videos and play music just fine. After the windows 10 update I became technologically illiterate. I cant find anything because Microsoft organizes my files now, not me. I routinely get locked out of my accounts, apps and even my computers. I've had to do a factory reset on my machine twice now because i could not remember the password or which email i used for it. The machine is worthless without an internet connection. The language is convoluted, new words are not defined, the same word is used to describe different things or one thing will have multiple names. Often no words are used, just a symbol or an anacronym and it is not explained. New words are being invented and that's great, but they are never defined, just trotted on out like everyone knows what they mean, and when you finally do learn what it means THEY CHANGE THE DEFINITION!!! Near constant pop up? (thingies) distract me all the time, i cant finish one task before another app wants me to do something else. I used to only have to do heavy research if something was broken, now i have to google routine things like how to log in. I do not under stand the cloud system AT ALL and its getting worse. We got clouds in clouds now??? I did not realize how drastic a change this was until recently, when I had to drop an online masters program not because I did not understand the material (I'm an honors student) but because I NO LONGER KNOW HOW TO USE MY COMPUTER! Is there a class action lawsuit I can get in on? I want Microsoft to pay to put me through IT classes, it seems you now have to have an IT degree just to use a Microsoft OS. Can I go back to windows 8 or will there be a user friendly, functional update anytime soon?

Please Add windows 7 theme as a built-in theme in windows 10
Please Give feedback to this post if you also want a look of windows 7 in a windows 10 as an optional. Because a large community is still the fan of Windows 7 still today. So I want to have look of windows 7 in windows 10 as well so the community who is fond of windows 7 can also switch to windows 10 and use theme of windows 7. The functionality is Completely better in windows 10 as compare to windows 7 but the People are still attracted to windows 7 look more then windows 10's look (attraction is on look rather then functionality) so Please Add an optional built-in theme of windows 7. we don't want to use any third party tool for this purpose as it is the task of windows developer. Please give this post as much support as you want to see windows 7 look inside windows 10. As I mentioned it should be optional so that any user with his own taste can choose any of the theme. Thanks a lot. Looking forward to the response on this post.

Windows Update Deleted a folder with documents
When windows updated it deleted important files that were stored on my desktop. Files called "Resume" and "Jobs applied for" important things like that. Where have my files gone, how do I get them back NOW?

How are you using Windows to increase your productivity ?
My personal favorite Windows 10 feature is Snap. Snapping in Windows 10 a great way to use your screen real estate more efficiently if you have several pages or applications open. To snap a window, all you need to do is drag the top of an app window to the side. Then snap assists brings up other pages that are open, you choose your preferred one, and then pages/apps are placed side by side. This is extremely helpful for all the avid multitaskers! Windows Updates On Virtual Machine Server 2019
Hi all, We are experiencing an issue when attempting to download and install Windows Updates on a Windows Server 2019 Virtual Machine, any help would be appreciated. From some reading online I believe the log which shows errors related to updates is the CBS.log, I have copied some of the first error lines below, 2021-02-26 17:20:02, Error CSI 00000046@2021/2/26:17:20:02.401 (F) Attempting to mark store corrupt with category [l:26 ml:27]'CorruptComponentsRootItems'[gle=0x80004005] 2021-02-26 17:20:02, Error CSI 00000047@2021/2/26:17:20:02.401 (F) onecore\base\wcp\componentstore\csd_transact.cpp(3870): Store corruption detected in function CCSDirect::CreateTransaction expression: 0 2021-02-26 17:20:02, Error CSI 00000048 (F) HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(14098) #8463# from Windows::COM::CComponentStore::InternalTransact(...)[gle=0x80073712] 2021-02-26 17:20:02, Error CSI 00000049 (F) HRESULT_FROM_WIN32(14098) #8461# from Windows::ServicingAPI::CCSITransaction::ICSITransaction2_Analyze(Flags = 0, riid = {f4d9decb-0250-4ad4-9500-85c7f2f281ec}, ppUnk = NULL, disp = 0)[gle=0x80073712] These seem to point to Component Store being corrupted in some way. Many were saying on some community pages that a potential solution would be to rename the "SoftwareDistribution" folder incase the old downloads were corrupted, new ones would then be downloaded and a new "SoftwareDistribution" folder created, unfortunately this did not work. Another potential solution was to run admin command variations of the below, dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup This command did kick off returning image version etc but did not continue, I ensured to leave this overnight as it was advised it can take hours to complete, again no success. Short of restoring the VM's image from backup which I imagine will be a painful process I am out of ideas, any help or advise would be appreciated. Regards, Stuart

Windows 10 and 10 Pro?
What is the difference?

After W10 … Windows?
If and only if, Microsoft suddenly brought out a new operating system … something related to UNIX being a spinoff of MULTICS going nowhere used by Ken Thompson and others to play planet landing game with Bell Labs just next door to NASA research laboratory. Close to XENIX, AIX, HP-UX, SOLARIS, … different from BSD as licensed open source by AT&T to Berkeley University leading to Networking Release 1 (NET/1) with BSD license like NetBSD, FreeBSD and others. Forked for development of Linux with good reasons as modern rewrite ‘not free as beer’, Red Hat for example is expensive. This hypothetical ‘Windows’ is at heart closed source, same terms of use, same reputation with all the SaaS resources of Azure … Visual Studio, C#, F#, .NET … new file system, new goodies, tools and toys. Microsoft is already engaged on Linux platform with snap packages of PowerShell, Visual Studio Code, Teams, … Also, with Kubernetes, Docker, developing ML.NET with different approach from Google AI tools. It seems logical in the W10 pipeline from the very start. If it happens, what do you think of titanic battle that follows fighting about …?
