windows 10 update 2020 task bar colour
Since windows 10 update 2020 you can no longer change task bar colour. The answer I found here is that you can change it when you set your Windows to "dark". But that is ridiculous. Why am I not allowed to tick the box for showing accent colour on task bar when I have selected the "light" option? Or at least this should be available with the "custom" option. I just want to have a dark background for the task bar, not for all the rest. Before this update, that selection option was ALWAYS available.

Windows Maps (Redux) Thank You Microsoft and Tom Tom
For those of you that have been on here for a while you've seen my rants about Microsoft not updating Microsoft Maps, and when they teamed up with Tom Tom nothing seemed to change either. Well, I'm pleased to say that that has changed. I ran a store update this morning, and I noticed that there was an update for Windows Maps. Sure as you know what, there it was, the update to the South Mountain Freeway Extension was finally there. It's still sad though that Google maps showed it within a few days, yes, Days, of it opening, which was almost a year ago. Anyway Thank You Microsoft and Tom Tom for updating a severely out of date map.

About Windows 10 Action Center.
(1) You want the center of the action to change the right angle of the edge to a fillet, just like an edge browser. (2) Replace some text management notifications and clear all notifications with symbols to make them a more visual action center. (3)When you tap the action center, some of the action switches pop up, but you can expand the corresponding action switches in turn by using the rollers to slide up or use the side scroll bar. (4)It is recommended that you add a "dark mode" in the Operations Center.Dark mode lowers the screen background to dark tones in darker night light, reducing the irritation of the screen's over-brightening to the human eye.【【【Dark mode is a mode that optimizes the contrast between the text foreground and the dark background contrast, as well as the colors of the text and system icons, after a large number of "human-caused studies" to ensure that the human eye feels consistent, comfortable, and easy to read. Dark Mode uses optimal text foreground and dark background contrast to optimize the color of text and system icons to ensure consistency, comfort and readability of the human eye viewing experience. Dark mode uses the contrast between the text foreground and the dark background. The same colors, the brightness and saturation of the human eye's visual perception are different on light and dark backgrounds. If there any MS tool that can parse CBS.log and DISM.log?
The DISM and SFC commands are one of the most powerful and best tools users can use to fix tons of issues with their system. However, even I, as a "poweruser" Should NOT be in powershell and run commands. Nor should users be in the regisitry, which Microsoft suggestest as a fix to certain problems. Microsoft gives the correct info. Users should NOT touch the registry, EVER! Nor the Powershell for that matter. Why? Because you need to be a mechanic to fix a Tesla car. One mistake and you can ruin big parts of windows. Win 10 is FANTASTIC at leaving logs! However, users dont not know what they mean, should NOT LOOK at them! It will only sorry people, and they could damage their system. Question: Is there any tool that can parse the Dism.log, CBS.log, update.log (And do the powershell commands to make the log). Also, I am lacking a tool that can check your Image against .xlm lists in MoSetup, "Waasmedic" and the live kernal reports. These tools should generate a report AND offer fixes that a normal user can understand. Before the user does anything with the tool. The tool creates a system restore. EASY. - FixWin 10 does this. - UWT 4, does this. - CCleaner have started to offered it now (DONT EVER USE CCLEANER TO CLEAN THE REGISTRY IN WIN 10! Why is Microsoft lacking tools like these, when the commands and features the tools uses, are Microsofts own. But in powershell command mode. There are 3:e party tools, but I do NOT want to use them. Microsoft needs a tool that can parse logs, Use ALL DISM/SFC/Repair-image and offer option to FIX things. Report "nothing is wrong. Just to prove I am not just negative. Questions to MS devs/techs: 1. Microsoft dev/techs: Doesn't running "SFC /SCANNOW" 3 times in a row, in a powershell as an administrator not Fix A LOT of problems? 2. As do cmds like "analyseStore", "repair-image" and many other COMMANDS? 3. There is no command to check WHERE your image is? CheckHealth from -Source-. needs you to point where the image is.

Windows 10 and SSDs
My PC, about a year old, has a 128GB SSD, which is of course my C-drive. It was almost full,tt all but about 6 GB, because that's the way Dell set it up. Much of it is system but a lot is apps and there are also temp files. When the latest W10 update came along it insisted I did not have enough space on to install it. It said I could use the D drive but then seemed to ignore that and I had to start clearing apps and temp data off the c drive, with what damage I am not yet sure. It took ages and after I had done the update the c drive is no fuller than before the update so it looks like the update was using the c drive for workspace. Does MS not know about SSDs and the fact that they are likely to be full or do I blame Dell for the way they set it up. Of course once an app is on the SSD it is near impossible to move it to the D drive (which is near empty). D Quinn

How Do You Learn About Windows 10 Best?
Hello all, I have a genuine question that has no right or wrong answer. How would you learn to use your computer better? It doesn't matter the device, the operating system, or how long you've had it. Simply put, everyone learns differently and at their own pace, what format or style of learning works best for you? I'm a Microsoft trainer and have been providing computer training at all levels for years. As much as I love the job security of being needed... the ultimate goal is to make Windows 10 easy to use and navigate without support. So, do you learn best from step-by-step instructions in a clickable demo?Perhaps that's too time consuming and you'd prefer a quick notification with basic instructions? Do we appreciate links to support pages or pop-up instructions? Has the time finally come to bring back everyone's favorite digital assistant Clippy? What do you perceive as helpful versus intrusive? So please, take a second to sound off and thank you for your feedback!
