To change the default Pc administrator name
When installing windows in my computer the installation boy gave a odd name "user" which I want to change and at that I want to give my name. I tried to change the user profile manly times it was changed but it also shows the previous name "user" and after changing I couldn't get some of the permission such as to open folder option using shortcut menu asking for a permission from the administrator but previous one was not asking for the permission to do this simple tasks. Overall I want to remove that previous admin.. name and give my name a new admin... name. Please clarify how to do it. Thank you,

Windows 10 - create a desktop icon? Help please 😀
When I used Windows 7 I could easily create an icon for my desktop. I do not seem to be able to do that now. Desktop icons are very helpful and speed up the connect process. My bot (computer) is an HP Combi and is currently operating in tablet mode. I have tried the process of using themes but was not successful. Any suggestions? Many thanks PS - I understand that Microsoft Edge doesn't allow desk-top shortcuts to be created. Have to revert several clicks to get to a website 🤔

Windows 10 takes long time to show desktop screen
Hello All, I use winodws 10 licensed version will all the latest updates installed. I am facing a strange issue with my desktop. Fresh windows boots very fast. Gradually the boot times gets increased. Right now the issues is: Enter password screen appears within 30 seconds to 1 minutes. After entering the password it takes up to 10 min to show desktop. Mostly its a black screen and hard disk running all the time. After desktop screen, system works fine. There is no issue. Shutdown process is normal. Maximum time for shutdown is 1 min. as lots of applications running. Restart has the same issue as startup. For 5 to 10 min. it shows please wait, then boot from zero and again delay of password screen. I have tried all the things available on internet to repair. No 3rd party tool used. It is difficult to format system everymonth as sometimes data loss happnes. System Config. i5 - 2320 cpu @ 3GHz 64Bit windows 10 RAM: 4+4GB Display: NVIDIA 1GB. 1TB HDD + 120GB HDD I have tried with main HDD also. I removed all the BIG apps and tried. But there is no luck with the boot time. I request you to please suggest a solution. Cheers, Neraj

Windows 10 Green Screen oopsie 🤔
When I powered-up my computer this morning I received a green screen error message (as my family member advised). Message indicated 'Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info'. At this point the OS automatically did a restart and my system returned to normal. This is the first time I have encountered a green screen. As I am a curious person, I would like to know what was the conflict? Really good to know about such things. Views? Many thanks, keep well.
