"Microsoft Warning-- Install the "Emergency Patch"09-24-2019
Janet Perez of Komando.com under Kim Komando's Emails, Kim is a well know tech guru, put out an email to Kim's subscribers on 09-24-2019 on the above subject and said "Microsoft is telling users to download an 'emergency' out-of-band security patch immediately." Komando further says "the security flaw affects more than 7% of all browser users...running affected version of Internet Explorer 9, 10 and 11'. I have an updated Windows 10 computer, and I do use Internet Explorer and Edge, as well as GOOGLE regularly, but I don't know if I should download anything regarding this "Microsoft warning"! I just down's understand what, if anything I should do. My computer has the latest Update from Microsoft. I rely on my installed Malware Bytes Premium protection and Webroot Security, both of which are paid services. I also have Windows Defender doing periodic scanning. I have not been alerted by any of these three security and protection systems that my computer is in any way under attack or been infected. Komando has appended 16 Downloads from which to choose for dong the "emergency patch", however, none of them state in their titles/descriptions that they are for Windows 10? The Article states that the Department of Homeland Security takes the threat serious enough that it is issuing its own "advisory urging the public to get the patch." The Article states: "You can find the patch here (https.//www.catalog.update.microsft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4522007). Further, "from the list, "choose the update that corresponds with the versions of Internet Explore and Windows that you are running." I cannot seem to determine, despite instruction, what version of Internet Explorer I'm running, but if I could, the download list seems not to reference Windows 10 in anyway. COULD ANY OF YOU TECHIES SHOW ME THE LIGHT, AND GUIDE ME SPECIFICALLY AS TO WHAT I SHOULD DO BY WAY OF WHICH IE PATCH I SHOULD DOWNLOAD, IF ANY? I really would appreciate any help and wisdom from you. Thanks! Jim B.

Utterances on Updates
Trying to be alliterative, not sure I succeeded 🥴 Thought I'd bore you for a while about Updates (From an almost quote by Jimi Hendrix). ALWAYS stay absolutely current❗ Meaning withOUT delays❗ I will talk about what is/was and what will be. Windows tries to restart your PC as infrequently as possible. Win10 has Saas or WaaS (Software as a Service, Windows as a Service), which refers to its FREE auto-updating. * There are 2 FEATURE updates annually or the bi-annuals, one in the Spring (H1) & one in the Fall (H2). Normally, one is Minor & one is Major. * There are Monthly Updates (2nd Tues). These are 90% security, 10% functional, so to speak. They are cumulative, meaning what IS + what's new. So, you don't have to go back & pick up anything from the past. They require a Restart. Ergo, besides the bi-annuals Windows is restarting your machine once a month. * Restarts can be set by the End User to happen outside of "Active Hours" 👌, now, that said... things have changed/are changing/will change. Some may have, already, noticed things are quicker, taking less time. A while back the methodology used for update delivery changed. The bi-annuals are much smaller & lighter & will become even more so. Updating is somewhat re-organised & more efficient: 1. Store is now handling most apps or will be & more than it did 2. Hs are being delivered in the same way as monthlies, now. 3. Some of the burden of the bi-annuals will greatly lessened in the near future. The OS will receive Feature stuff as soon as it is ready, instead of waiting for an H. This will happen via Windows Feature Experience Pack. You can see this, now in System > About, but it's not doing too much yet. Most of the above is, already, happening. Much is part of 21H2. 21H2 is heaps more than what will be visual & tangible, more than the cosmetics. Heaps of under-the-covers stuff with 21H2, as well as the superficial or visually obvious. This all improves the User Experience greatly. Cheers, Drew

Improve "Your Phone" App (Suggestion)📱
I request the Microsoft Windows developer and Windows community. Today, Microsoft Windows 10 is the world's most used operating system. And also in the Android OS mobile world. Microsoft and Samsung have made a lot of improvements in 'your phone' App . But this feature is only available for Samsung phones. Not everyone has Samsung in the market but everyone has Android. We request the user to improve 'your phone' so that the mobile does not have to touch the mobile after connecting our phone. All mobile work should be automatic sync and access all mobile apps from 'your phone' App. Mobile and laptop both are compulsory for user. Today, other Eco systems are getting more popular because they sync all devices very well. This feature will manage time to the user and you can create more productivity work in working time.
