Upgrade problems
Hi - I try to upgrade to Windows 10 Insider Preview 10.0.20236.1005 (rs_prerelease), but the upgrade get stucked at 28%. I have done the "normal" way do clear the problem by stopping Wuauserv, BITS, msiserv and CryptSvc - clearing SoftwareDistribution folder (Approx 10.4GB) and then starting the services again. But with the only result that a new download is ready for installation (i.g. the same version) and a new boot gives the same 28% stop. My %Windows.~BT folder is not empty (ca 1GB), but I am a little bit unsure to delete this if I am "in the middle" of an upgrade and by deleting forces me to go through a system restore...or a complete new windows version install. cleanmgr /D C /sageset:65535 & cleanmgr /D C /sagerun:65535 doesn't clean the folder btw. Am I missing some log files to delete or any other comments/solutions? All the best, Stig

This is website... Y E S
Henlo nerds and nerd-ets! I am known as Jaden Gilray but you can call me Jay or whatever nick name to be honest, I really don't care lol. I know this site is supposed to be for Tech help and Windows help and that's nice, but not what I'm using it for lol. I will help anyone who needs help tho. I'm pretty good with computers and Windows so I can totally help with a random PC problem! Other than my bad introduction, I'm happy to be talking to random Internet people that aren't Instagram people or Facebook creeps. Now, if you have a PC problem or something, feel free to ask. Or if you just wanna talk, that's cool to lol. (Microsoft is going to hate me for treating this like a social media XD)

Create Free Space ππ A Nice Tipβ
As many know there is or there might be a Windows.old folder on your Sys drive. If, all is good AND you have no need for anything from the previous Windows, as in, for example, before & after 21H1... that BIG Windows.old folder can be removed. The TIP here for you is that there is a really easy way to do this... the OS will do it for you via this path: > Settings > System > Storage. Under Storage Sense click on Configure SS or run it now. Down at the bottom of the page you will see Free Up Space Now. Check the box & hit the button. Will a take a few (the folder is BIG), but when finished the unneeded Windows.old folder will be gone and you will have created a BIG chunk of precious free space on your OS drive πππ Certainly look for this folder & do the above after the H1 & H2 Updates. Or after upgrading to Windows 10 If you use MCT to update you will have the folder after completion Cheers, Drew

Surface Pro 7 why can't I buy one?
I ordered a Surface Pro 7, core i7, 16Gb RAM, 256Gb SSD here in Pune, India. The Microsoft folks say I can't buy it because its got Windows 10Pro and this OS cannot be sold to a Home user And even worse, they can't give me the above hardware specs with a Windows 10 Home! Why such strange policies!

Microsoft's Office App Changes
This is excellent news for everyone, not just those that are Microsoft 365 subscribers. One feature that jumped out at me is " a new feature that will allow users to open more than one instance of the web app at the same time." Currently one cannot do that and when you're on a phone or tablet it's a real P.I.T.A. Not unsurmountable but! Looking forward for this update https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/04/29/microsoft-is-launching-a-new-office-app-for-windows-10/

Kernal DMA Protection in dell inspiron 14 5405
I have upgraded the OS from home to pro to Enterprise version 20H2 Then I checked the Hyper-V using the system info command from Cmd The output was compatible: 64-bit processor with second-level address translation (SLAT) is enable Virtual Machine Monitor Mode Extensions is enable Virtualization Enabled In Firmware (These require enabling from bios) Data Execution Prevention is enable I entered the bios by pressing F2 For Hyper-V the BIOS has one line which is: Virtualization Technology I have enabling it. Now I have verified Hyper-V requires using the system info command The result was Hyper-V Requirements: A hypervisor has been detected. Features required for Hyper-V will not be displayed. Meaning, Hyper-V is detected but!!!!! I tried Coreinfo When disable Virtualization Technology on bios HYPERVISOR - Hypervisor is present SVM * Supports AMD hardware-assisted virtualization NP * Supports AMD nested page tables (SLAT) SVM and slat mode is enable And when I enabling Virtualization Technology from the bios SVM and slat mode is disable Therefore, I cannot use Device Guard and Credential Guard.

Will You Save Your System or Format it?
Let say you are facing a technical problem in Windows and you have the following options: 1) You could just format and reinstall Windows (e.g. using reset or refresh) and reinstall and recover everything and go back to world. 2) You will work on find and fix the problem and solve it without formatting your Windows. The first one might be easy but you will need to reinstall everything and second one might be time consuming but you won't go for reinstall and recovery process.

How many people actually π π over πβ (Translate pls)
This is π for most π§ and is only π΅and π for most occasions, and because of π we can π₯ the π of π for the questionable π± π€. But the π has great πand can do π things, and because of how we π πΌ with it. Ok, so here is a challenge, try to translate this within 30 seconds or the world will end in leetspeak. The reason why I am doing this is to question why π and π look terrible on this site, Why is this different from Windows 10 design U.I. and the site displays something different. And yes, this is to Productivy category, Learning on how to use Windows to be more productive.
