Echo
Amazon is telling me I don't have security or firewall protection in order to use/connect with my Echo. Everything was fine until I canceled Amazon Prime. Now Echo/Alexa tells me "Can't connect" I spoke with DELL, and they told me the security that was pre installed on my desktop was all the security I needed and didn't need to "PURCHASE" more which is what Amazon was telling me I had to do.. After I canceled Amazon Prime, I installed just Amazon because Echo told me I had to have an Amazon acc't to use Echo. but not Prime. So now I'm faced with not being able to use Echo/Alexa ( that's what Amazon is telling me anyway ) I'm not in a position right now financially to purchase another security because of Covid, and my Windows Security seems to be doing a good job ! Can anyone help ??? Thank you, Rick

Hi Everyone, I would like to share you little trick with Microsoft Account (including the one you used to login to this website) and it is you are able to login in Microsoft Account without entering username and password. To do that you will need to do some setup on your Microsoft Account which are posted here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4463210/windows-10-sign-in-microsoft-account-windows-hello-security-key After that use Microsoft Edge and visit any website where it asked for Microsoft Account and then in menu click on "Sign in with a security key" and follow steps to login. "Do the math" - again the expression meaning DUH, no kidding, obviously, oh but of course & way overdue. Finally make the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10❗ Hopefully you, already, have, since Microsoft stopped supporting Windows 7 over a year ago, which means devices running that OS no longer get important updates or security patches. Folks, please, accept that the days of Win7 & IE are absolutely over & done. Please grasp, having 7 connected to the Net is dangerous, very dangerous❗ Both to the End User AND potentially, to every other User on the Web. It is just as bad as if it were XP. Somebody the other day in another Tech Forum said, don't bother telling me to drop 7 or IE. Please, do NOT share such an attitude. Use 10 & Edge without any further delay, debate or discussion. You certainly will not regret it❗ 7 is completely, totally, vulnerable to attacks, hackers, malware & being a bot. There is nothing that can excuse or justify STILL running 7 (on the Net) or trying to use IE. Please, move forward... these old things are dead & dangerous❗ Cheers, Drew
What is your opinion on adding a new feature to Phone app?
In Your Phone app, we can see the battery information of the phone. There should be an option to inform the user when the phone's battery is fully charged. This would be a small feature but helpful one. Another one would be mobile data or Wi-Fi range. What is your opinion on these two features?
Toggle Keys beep AND .NET audio methods stopped working
I always use "Toggle keys" feature. Press Caps, Num Lock beep suddenly stopped working. This matter is widely reported returns many suggestions which I followed without resolution. The audio troubleshooter reports no issues. Windows sound events and music work perfectly. THIS MUST BE RELATED! I develop in .NET and these 2 audio methods NO LONGER EMIT SOUND. My speakers are not muted; using maximum volume; also using headset - NO AUDIO is emitted. * System.Console.Beep(); * System.Media.SystemSounds.Beep.Play(); Both Toggle & .NET audio stopped working at the same time.

I like using emojis - not only in my personal emails and Skype messages. There are times when (regretfully) I have to decline a request or something of that nature. I find emojis can help to soften the message. I hope Windows will be able to expand the range - very good communication tool ✔💯
