New Computer Transfer
How do I connect my new computer to my old one and transfer everything to it?

Virus protection can't be turned on.
My computer tells me the virus protection is off and needs to be turned on, however I have not been able to do so. When I've tried it tells me the either an error has been detected and to try again or it simply tells me the task can't be completed.

How old is too old?
I am a substitute teacher who is preparing for the new school year. Because of the COVID -19 virus, a good number of the classes I will work with will be virtual, using assorted teleconferencing programs. I currently have a 6 year old Acer Aspire E11 laptop. Question for the community, how old does a computer have to be to be too old to use for more current applications like teleconferencing, etc.? Are there clear symptoms that my computer is too old for productive use, aside from being a little slow at startup? I Look forward to the responses. Thanks.

How can we nake Bing more acceptable over Google?
I find Bing as being much more effective than Google in conducting searches, yet Google is still the defacto go-to search engine. How can we make a difference?

Microsoft's support/endorsement of Android based phones ?
Microsoft has endorsed Android phones. I am here to tell you, the experiment has FAILED. Microsoft Launcher does NOT work well. I use it every day, and every day Google/Android resets my defaults for information and location sharing. If I am forced to use this P.O. S. operating system, why should I share ANYTHING with Google? Why must I maintain a Gmail account to access, download, and use MICROSOFT apps? Google/Android/Alphabet are a data mining cabal, that I attempt to avoid when and where-ever possible. If it is their OPERATING SYSTEM, it is by definition corrupt. In the same manor that a preloaded Facebook app allows Facebook to track information whether you open the app, or not. In the same way that Thomas Jefferson stated, "The access to a man's books and writings, is access to his soul." Government, nor Uncle Google, the ability to access our "information" should not be the confused with the right to do so. We each, as individuals, are "A Special Interest Group of One". When information tracking (and data storage) were difficult and/or expensive we had little need for concern. We are huge collections of data points, and while Microsoft is not without fault, I would like the ability to limit my exposure wherever possible. My wish is that Microsoft may lead this resistance. More data does not make everything better, just less "personal", and many steps closer to Chinese-style government control. If you approve of the political happenings in Hong Kong today, do nothing, and in a few years we will all become "subjects" of similar tactics. James Madison stated, " The Sole purpose of Government, is protect the Individual from the Tyranny of Majority. " Thanks, one and all, for your attention and consideration.

Unsuccessful login attempts
I get unsuccessful synch and occasionally a unsuccessful login attempt. But the previous unsuccessful attempt is now deleted. I didn't delete this and now I'm worried someone's gotten in and deleted it. Any advice?

A suggested Update To The New "News & Interest" Feature
Hello Members, I've had a chance to explore the New "News And Interest" feature for awhile now, and so far I Really Enjoy It 👍. However I'm just wondering if Microsoft would or could Implement a way so that once we open the feature by clicking on it we could also "Resize" the open pop up by grabbing the side of the window with our mouse. By doing so, I think we would be able to regain some valuable screen real estate by placing the little news articles boxes One on Top of the other instead of two side by side. 🤔 PS... Yes! I've just finished sending MS Feedback on this suggestion. I'm Just curious what you may think about this Idea?...¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 😊 Like/Dislike?

Legacy Programs
What is/are the legacy program(s), NOT apps! that you are still running, and why? I still use a totally outdated Microsoft Streets and Trips 2011, mainly because I like to plan routes, and it is/was the easiest software to use, and how it save 1 dirt poor school district tons of money!. Man I wish they'd bring that back!
