Sort Word Docs in Windows Explorer by Restricted Editing
I'm trying to figure out a way when viewing Word documents inside of a Windows File Explorer folder, to determine whether or not the document is protected ("restricted editing"), and to be able to sort by that characteristic without having to open the document. So for example if I have a folder with Word documents and some of them have restricted editing from inside of Word, how can I add that characteristic to my Windows File Explorer filters? What file "property" is that information contained in?
Writer's Exercise Software for Microsoft Word
I have been thinking how helpful it would be to have software that can be set alongside a Microsoft Document that exercises a writer's momentum, that can be used to stimulate a writer out of writer's block, or even basic training skills (such as defragmenting or verb confusion correction). I could imagine that the seniority that Microsoft is able to create such software from, the programs would be worthwhile and a lot of fun!
Single spaced template for new doc on Word
The newest update to Office 365 doesn't have a template for a single spaced document. When you click on New Doc, you get a template with double spacing, trying to select single spacing doesn't work. There used to be an optional template for single spaced doc's, but now it's no longer available. Maybe I'm missing something, but I need to have the use of single spacing in my documents and I hate to have to use Google docs inorder to get the right template. Thanks for the help Ken Miller I just came up with the answer to my own question. I have been using the web version of Office and didn't realize. What a dummy, this happened after I did the recent update to Version 2004 in October. So, I installed the app on my laptop and don't you know I now have a choice of single spaced doc's as a template. Converting a PDF document to Microsoft Word 2010
Recently, the PDF document conversion feature in my Microsoft Word 2010 disappeared after having performed fine. I spent more than 2 hours with a chat advisor on Microsoft's help line to no avail. Despite a determined effort, he wasn't able to resolve the issue. Very disappointing! I suspect a Microsoft update is to blame. Has anyone else experienced the PJDF conversion problem? If so, was it repaired and how?
