On-line Shopping ๐
Whilst we have all been on lockdown (except for front-line workers bless them๐) have your online shopping transactions significantly increased, remained the same or even decreased? I have been an online shopper for several years which I find so convenient and cost-effective. Since lockdown though, I have used the 'Amazon' platform more than I had originally anticipated even taking into consideration the difficulties of lockdown. Here in the UK during the first few weeks of the pandemic, supermarkets experienced panic buying by many, many customers resulting in stripped shelves and getting a delivery slot was very difficult ๐ค๐ฎ. Thankfully supermarket shopping delivery slots are much easier to book. But I had to resort to doing more virtual food shopping and found a source form a pub in a near-by village. ๐ฅ๐๐ฅฌ๐ฅฆ๐ฅ Restrictions in England are being lifted slowly and non-essential retail shops will be permitted to re-open on June 15th. I have to wonder though, whether shoppers in general will return to the High Street/Main Street in the numbers prior to the pandemic. The retail sector has suffered significant losses and several large department stores have gone into administration. Do you think that the pandemic has fundamentally changed the way we will shop in a post-pandemic world? For myself, I think it has. I find on-line shopping so very convenient - even buying printer cartridges and other desk essentials was easier than trooping to the retail park. I think MS/Windows/Skype et al had made my daily life much easier - thank you to all the teams. Now I can shop around the world, hold virtual meetings, keep in contact with friends and come to this platform any time of the day/evening. So cool ๐ Many thanks to all MS teams. Views? Windows 10 always secretly busy doing 'something else'..?
After every frequent, time-consuming and tedious W10 update, it can take up to a week for 'normal service' to be resumed. Any browser you care to use performs erratically and sluggishly; it, File Explorer and Windows in general frequently go faint and 'fail to respond'. WHY??? If it's any help, I'm a long-standing IT pro now working from home and using an HP ProOne 440 G4 all-in-1 workstation new last August - and supposedly specifically designed for Windows 10, God help us!

Hello everyone ๐๐ just though I would fly-in this evening to 'see' how you are all getting on - very well, I hope. I have been thinking of changing my avi 'Steve Jobs' quote - think different. But I have decided to leave well alone, I choose this avi, not because I wish to emulate Steve Job but rather it does describe some of my personality. I seem to 'swim upstream' quite a lot of the time and most definitely think differently from my colleagues/acquaintances etc. So my current avi goes quite a long way in describing my personality. ๐คญ When you chose an avi, if you do that is, what attracts you to this avi or that avi, whatever? The last update appears to kill my system.
Not complaining. I got it fixed by resetting pc back to default windows. Fresh install. The error was like cannot access boot drive. Just passing it along incase I'm not the only one.

Is Zoom safe to be used on Windows 10? ๐
I am due to participate in an important virtual meeting in the next few days. The preference of people appears to vote for Zoom. Given the privacy issues and the problem with zoom-bombing, I have serious concerns. I welcome your advice. Many thanks and keep well ๐
